Ombré Star is a quilt that takes advantage of ombré fabric. Made with half square triangles arranged to form a sawtooth star and borders on point.

Ombré Star is made from easy, big half-square triangles and nothing more.

The color and value gradations in ombré fabrics make sophisticated color and shading transitions possible in simple blocks. In this quilt, the shading makes the star glow. This quilt can also make a spectacular base for appliqué.

Approx 72’’ x 72’’ (64 blocks) depending on the repeat of the ombré.

NOTE: Please read the information about the style of ombré fabrics required for this pattern before buying your fabric (see second image).

RECOMMENDED NOTIONS: One small bottle Washable School Glue, one fine pointed glue tip (see http://purpledaisiesquilting.com)

SKILLS NEEDED: All straight seams, some bias edges; mostly accurate 1/4” seam allowance; basic quilt finishing skills.
