Thank you! You are brave, strong, courageous and powerful. My quilting sisters and I share similar stories as we work together at our quilt retreats and feel what you feel and know what it means to exist as a woman. A man could never know how we feel, are treated or know. We are worth more than we know, can accomplish more than we know and have endured more than most men. We are all brave, strong, powerful and courageous.

Even though I have experienced much of the same inequities, disregard and injustices as you describe in this piece, I still gasped many times as I read. This is such a powerful work! I’m not sure that a man reading it would feel it or understand it, though. Maybe. But I’ll bet most women would. These things are that ubiquitous among us. Brava for toughing this out and getting it made. And thank you very much. I’m more grateful than I can say.

I didn’t know this was your work while I stood reading every word of it at QuiltCon 2019. Thank you for making this powerful, personal work of art. It was my favorite quilt at that show.
