Great job with all the templates. I am a sewing teacher and students are asking me how much should they charge. This will help so much I will give them your address. Skill level should be part of the pricing skeim also.

Thank you! I do not quilt (yet!!) but I embroider and sew. I always have trouble with pricing. This will help me in clearing that problem up and give customers an idea of why I charge what I do.

Like many others, I saw you a couple of weeks ago on an episode of Sewing with Nancy, and wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the work and ideas you have expressed regarding the appropriate payment for our work. Most of the time, when someone asks what it would cost them to have me sew (anything) for them, my response is something along the lines of “You can’t afford me.” Now, however, I may be able to get more specific, since I will have done the math on my projects. I don’t mind gifting others with quilts, but I do hate to hear that I’m too expensive, and they could buy the same thing at WallyWorld – no, you really can’t, but you’re certainly welcome to try, and when it falls apart in the first wash…

I have been hand quilting with my Mother-in-law (88 years old) and her friend (96 years old) for the last 5 years. I absolutely love my Thursdays with them. They, however will be quite surprised when I show them these invoice samples, at how much all their (and my own) hard work has gone into the quilts that we have made. Much love and learning has been enjoyed by all of us. I saw this in Nancy’s Corner this morning and can hardly wait to share it with them next Thursday.

From now on, every quilt or project that I do, there will be an accompanying invoice or project sheet.

I also saw this on Sewing With Nancy and appreciate all your work in creating the worksheet. I do a variety of sewing projects and now that I am retired I plan on making and selling sewing and craft items. This will make it possible for me to put a realistic price on my work and not undervalue it as in the past. Thank you!

Just saw an old sewing with Nancy episode on Wisconsin PBS station. I really like the idea of making invoices, so other non-sewers can really see all of the time energy it takes. Thank you for sharing

Just saw you on Sewing With Nancy ( an old episode I think ) ! Thank you so much for all of your work and making your project sheet available to all the quilters! I will be using it for a raffle quilt that I will be making so the people that are buying the tickets will be able to see just what it is worth! Thanks again
