I tried to impress upon them it was ok to let others know they had sewn it and they should never, ever point out any flaws or mistakes when someone complimented them on the garment. Just say, “Thank you, its nice of you to say that.” If the complimenting person doesn’t sew, they won’t notice and if they do sew, most will not say anything if they notice a flaw.
