I’m with you Sam — have a hard time creating in a cluttered space… and like you, the top of my storage shelf area seems to gather stuff that needs ‘refiling’ at an appropriate time! Thanks for sharing

This a breath of fresh air Sam and a delight to see. Your space is organised, works well and would be a pleasure to walk into each day. I have a small side table for my machine in our lounge/dining/homeschool room and spread to the dining/homeschool table for larger jobs e.g. cutting and basting. Of course I have to pack up each night but it is a good habit. It is a room which is central for our large family and I even set up a mattress each night to sleep on this floor at the moment due to my husband’s health issues.

I love it! I just put some new cubby style bookcases in my sewing room and am very excited to get them all organized and hopefully help de-clutter the rest of the room!

I aspire to be as tidy…just can’t seem to do it. I do tidy up more than I used to, which makes it easier…hopefully one day I can get to such a immaculate space! Sometimes I would better in clutter…go figure!

Most important (for me) of your finish up steps is laying out projects for tomorrow. I am so much more likely to use small bits of time well when I do that.

I too need a tidy space in order to work and create. I love your studio. I like to put things away as I work, but the idea of planning exactly where to start the next day and writing it down is a good idea that I plan to adopt.
