I would add to do more work about where the company stands in their industry scheme of things. Are they the number one or two provider of their product (machines, fabric, notions)… do they advertise, appear at shows, support their products well (if they don’t you are gonna be a really small piece of an already small pie. Have they been around a while, already with a large following and legacy, or a relative newbie? And finally, do they have a serious, active internet presence and marketing team, or just a couple of folks slaving away trying to make it work…
Just FYI, some machine companies allow their ambassadors to KEEP their provided machines – which may be a huge part of the “income”…! But when you calculate value, be sure you look at what those products actually SELL for, not their MSRP or “standard” price! And when the ambassadorship is over, what happens?
