Omg. I’m glad you made it through your heart attack and sorry you had to go through that!

There was a pin I came across awhile ago that said “new year, same me, still loving my body” and it definitely got me because there’s always this feeling that we need to be better, but who we are *now* can be pretty great too. And we should treat ourselves well, because we deserve it. And if we don’t, who will?!

As a retired RN and a woman with 2 cardiac stents, I applaud your efforts to educate we women who function exactly as you described— yes, me too!! “Now is not a good time to have a heart attack”, “My husband hates my ED visits when my symptoms turn out negative for a heart attack after spending hours in the ED waiting for blood test results “

I’ll add—-After 3 yrs of increasing symptoms but negative Thallium stress tests, a cardiac catheterization showed 95% occlusion of a coronary artery. I changed cardiologists for someone who believed me over test results!
